I'm from Valencia, and I know the situation of Catalonia by living close to this region and beeing in touch with people from there. I'm not very proud of my region's governement because of the amazing amount of regional debt they had improoved during the last sixteen years, wasting public budget with nonsense. What I hate most is watching these politicians conmplaining of Spanish government lack of economic help, blaming it of all our regions problems.
The situation in Catalonia is very similar, with a different politics ideology on the government. But both cases have the same colour in the bottom of the box: no one is responsible of nothing. If you make a fault, just blame everyone of injustice in treating you. In this case, the way choosen by politicians was the independence. Using public media, they have make grow into catalonian people's mind what they want: if they were independents, far away from the devil Spanish influence, the world would be wonderful and everyone would be rich and happy.
Despite writting all these reasons against catalonian government, I really agree with the right of a referendum in Catalonia. But people must think by oneself, researching if possible all the consequences, advantages and disadvantages. They must think on privileged logistic placement of Catalonia, with a thick net of infraestructures placed there by central government and payed by all the spanish citiziens to improove natural advantages of placement. While having in Catalonia a high speed train infraestructurely, other region don't arrive to a basic net of convencional train.
Only by considering both faces taken decissions will be the right ones.
